Meet DeNaya

BFA, CYT, CPT | Artist and Movement Specialist

Blending dance, yoga, personal training and pine needle basket weaving to nurture your body and spirit.

I believe movement should feel good—like coming home to your body.

My journey with movement deepened after undergoing brain decompression surgery in 2013 for Arnold Chiari Malformation. That experience reshaped how I listen to my body, honor rest, and approach healing. It’s why I lead with care, intention, and respect for every person’s unique pace.

I’ve been teaching dance since 2013. In 2021, I became certified to teach yoga, and fitness to all ages. In 2025, I began teaching individuals with intellectual disabilities as an artist practitioner with Arts in Health Ocala metro nonprofit and that has deeply blessed my life. I’m passionate about creating spaces where people feel safe to move, grow, and simply be themselves—whether they’re reaching fitness goals or just dancing like nobody’s watching.

Outside of teaching, you can find me enjoying good food, walking barefoot in nature, or embracing quiet moments of stillness. I’m always learning, always evolving, and always finding new ways to make movement accessible, empowering, and full of joy.
